Tonight we are young again

Vampire freebie -
Vampire attack mode
I have submitted this sketch to the challenge at Haunted Design House: Halloween costume because I have been a vampire before (although most often a combination of vampire and witch, as seen in my earlier post).

Coffin break

I wish that I knew someone who actually celebrated Halloween, so I could send Halloween cards to that person. Instead my Halloween cards will go one of two ways: to my trash-can or to the pile of thousand cards which I do not have room for any way. But yeah, that's a very tiny problem. Anyhow, if anyone wants one of my Halloween cards, I will be happy to send it to you (for free).

For this card I made a vampire, but it ended up looking like half a witch with the hair. So, it's a witch vampire. Or a vampire witch. I guess that the reason that I have this distorted idea of a vampire is because I couldn't decide if I wanted to make a vampire or a witch. Since I so seldom have had the opportunity to dress out in a fancy costume, I haven't been able to decide if I wanted to dress out as a witch or a vampire. Therefore I have done both - at the same time. I haven't been invited to that many masquerade parties though, cause I'm a pain in the neck (pun intended).

Card recipe
Metallic sand paint (silver): Panduro
White acrylic paint: Pysselmakaren
Red acrylic paint: Panduro

Grape deal

It's my time to guest design for Fitztown Challenge Blog this Sunday. I have made a card with an image from the Stardust and pumpkin collection.

Card recipe:
*Image: Fitztown - Snp2
*Paper sheets: local craft store Pysselmakaren
*Shiny borders (pink with dots + pink, green, white stripes): issue 57 of Let's make Cards
*Yellow lace: local haberdasher Ronnys Symaskiner
*Light purple ribbon: local haberdasher
*Pearls: Old necklace which I have "recycled" for card-making etc.
*Flower with pink pearl: local craft store Pysselmakaren
*Floral border: Simon Says Stamp

I thought that it was about time to create a purple card. I decided to combine the purple with some other fun colours as well. I dyed the yellow lace with yellow paint to make it bright yellow, since I thought it would be a fun detail to go along with the yellow dots (which you can find on the purple paper background).

I have coloured the flower with nail polish and Stickles. Nail polish has also been used for the floral border. The sentiment has been covered with Stickles, so you can barely see the font (LT Chickenhawk) lol. I have made a border with Stickles around my card with the following Ranger Stickles: Diamond, Eucalyptus, Fruit Punch, Green, Lagoon, Magenta, Mystic Green, Orange Peel, Starry Night, Thistle, Tropical Tangerine, Turquoise, Waterfall, Yellow. I have also added some Stickles to the image's dress (see the dots) and her hair and head-band (or do you say hairband?). For the fairy's skin I chose Promarker Almond. For the hair I went with different orange, brown and red Promarkers.

I have submitted this card to the following challenge blogs:
Alphabet Challenge: P for Paper piecing (see dress)
Crafts 4 eternity: Cute kids
Crafty Cardmakers: Winged things
Creative Craft Challenges: Use ribbon
Flutter By Wednesday: Anything goes with fairy/butterfly
Jo's Scrap Shack: Anything goes
My Heart Pieces: Beads, glitter and lace
Scrap Creations: Polkadots
Sweet Stampin': Glamour and glitz
Totally Gorjuss: Dotty
2 Sisters: Recycle (I used pearls/beads from an old necklace to decorate my card)
Wags 'n Whiskers: Sparkle

Thanks for stopping by! Good night (or good day) wherever you are.

Autumn flowers

Albert Camus once said: Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.

I think he was right about that. Actually I think he was right about many things. Camus is one of the reasons I have been an existentialist for almost a decade now. Read more about my existentialism here. (I must not confuse my crafts blog with my writing blog.)

Anyway, for this autumn card I used one of Hannah Lynn's images, named Cali Girl. I colored the image with Promarkers and added some leaves to her hair. Some of the leaves come from a template pattern pack for Crafts Beautiful September 2010, while the other leaves plus pumpkin have been cut out from various magazines. I have found the gorgeous autumn frame here.

I have used lots of Stickles for the leaves, pumpkin and frame. You can find the following Stickles in my card: Cinnamon, Diamond, Eucalyptus Green, Fruit Punch, Orange Peel, Tropical Tangerine and Yellow.

The background has been hand marbled by me, with Marmoreringsfärg

Finally I have submitted this card to the following challenges:
ABC Challenges: Fall
All that Stickles: Fall

Craftin Desert Diva's: Autumn/Fall
Craft Your Passion: Autumn/Fall

Fab 'n' Funky: Leaves

You had me in stitches

I have finally made a card with a stamp by Teresa Sherman. :) The image that I used here is named Thorne and can be found here at Sweet Pea Stamps.

Almost everything is painted with either acrylic paint and/or Stickles. I have used some red acrylic paint for the background to the left. The skin of the zombie/vampire is painted with metallic sand paint + some turquoise and purple acrylic paint. The golden acrylic paint (my absolute best craft purchase ever) gives the hair some glimmer. I have used some Waterfall Stickles for the lips. I have chosen Starry Night + Mystic Green Stickles for the eyes. The clothing is painted with lilac blue nail-polish and Starry Night Stickles. The stitches/scars are coloured with Magenta Stickles. I have used Yellow Stickles, Thistle Stickles, Starry Night Stickles and Waterfall Stickles for the flowers.

The purple patterned paper comes from the local craft store Pysselmakaren, and so do the corner embellishments. I have found the rest in various magazines.

I have submitted this card to the following challenges:
All that Stickles: Fall
Craft Your Passion: Glitter and gloss
Creative Fingers: Add a sentiment
DRS Design: That's unexpected (the sentiment adds some humour to my Halloween horror card)
Haunted Design: Halloween in your face
One Sweet Challenge: Brown, Yellow, Orange and Red
Musically challenged: Creepshow
PunkyouGirl: Red & Black
Sentimental Sundays: Humorous

Ps. I wanted to create a "blood" splatter background for my card, but I changed my mind. Maybe someone somewhere would find this useful? If so, please go ahead and save it. :) And look below for some bloody hands...
