Bow yeah!

Whenever I have a problem, I just sing.
Then I realize my voice is worse than my problem...

It’s a-bow-t time I put some more bows on my cards. I have been very conservative (lol! I never thought I would use that word to describe myself) with the bows lately. I'm not sure if this is bow-crazy (which I was aiming at), but I didn't want to make another card where my little sister would give me another snide comment like: "Uhm more is less..." So this is my version of bow-crazy in the less-is-more kind of way (or so I like to think).

So, this is my creation for {PIN}spirational Challenge #68. 
 














I have used Wish upon a star by Shelly's images. I have painted the digi stamp with nail polish (that is the dress plus starfish) and some brown crayons. I have created the sand structure by using the same formula as here (there's a description). The sky was painted with blue and white acrylic paint (another fingerprint painting lol). The waves come from my big sister's digital photo here. The starfish "flowers" in the corners of my card were cut out from an old book I found at the flea market.

Santa speaks North Polish

Christmas in July!

What do you call people who are afraid of Santa Claus...? 
Claustrophobic obviously. Duuh.

*Santa Claus with children on the beach come from an old children's lexicon (under the title "This is how Christmas is celebrated at New Zealand")
*Christmas flowers, candle, sock and golden/red frame were found in ad magazines before last Christmas (I tell you magazines are a gold-mine when it comes to scrapbook-material for X-mas!)
*3D socks from the local craft store Pysselmakaren
*God Jul seal stamp from the Red Cross
*The red background paper is called Järnek röd and comes from Landstoken.

A lovely lady who lost her watch became a timeless beauty

Today I'm cheering on my brilliant and brave little sister, who is walking for human rights in the LGBTQ-parade in Vilnius.  I learned that there were explosive charges in a LGBTQ-parade in Vilnius some years ago, so I'm scared. I'm still ridiculously proud though. She is such a good and decent human being. It has been a privilege to grow up next to her. She helps me grow as a human being. Every single day.

Red-y for fun

I have used the following paper sheets: Calico Berries and Composition Color.  
For the glittery floral background I went with a template from Crafts Beautiful (June 2010). The adorable digi girl comes from DigitalPaperCraft. The two tiny butterflies come from a Sunshine Reward Chart (go here). I have painted the different images with stickles, nail polish and crayons.

Whatever floats your boat

Ahoy sailor! Skepp och hoj!

The Sailor girl comes from Sassy Studio. The ferry/boat border, the anchor button and the boat button were all found at a local haberdasher (Ronnys symaskiner). The sailor knots paper was purchased at a local craft store (Pysselmakaren). The harbour background was cut out from an old postcard (call it upcycling?). The map paper came with the Cardmaking & Papercraft Calendar for 2013. The ticket image was cut out from a scrapbook paper called Tickets & Words, dark. 

For the sentiment Ahoy I used the Papyrus font and a piece of paper from the Globe trotting patterned papers at Papercraft Inspirations. 


Since I painted the sailor girl with chalk, I would like to join in the Chalk-Ah-Lot Cafe - Nautical with chalk challenge.

Here's another mermaid card. The octopus comes from Oak Pond Creations, while the mermaid comes from Dilly Beans. The sentiment is written with the She Shells font. The fishes and algiers were cut out from an old children's lexicon. You can find the blue glittery background paper at Panduro. The starfish was created with Stickles - Cinnamon, while the octopus was painted with Stickles - Eucalyptus. The mermaid was painted with various nail polish and Stickles.
