I hope the creativity will flow this new year. Let the creativity bloom like a flower garden.

 

->Here's a tiny little crocheted flower for my flower garden. My mum made it for me. I sewed it on a rib-knitted headband that I had knitted.

I don't know how to crochet flowers. There are many things I do not know. I hope I will learn a lot of things during this new year.

2012: here's a message for you.  Please, give me wisdom and creativity. I don't want any dumbness or numbness. I want some courage and will-power. I don't want any weariness or fears. Or if you insist, please let the fear at least lend me some wings.

You cannot make a revolution with silk gloves

...but perhaps you can make a revolution with lovikka gloves/mittens.

My oldest little sister loves to knit. She loves it so much that she decided to knit lovikka mittens for our cousins this x-mas.

The mittens are made of ecological wool in four different colours. You can find a pattern here.

Keep me warm at night

Yay! A scarf finished for our knitting project. 
I have started listening to audiobooks while knitting. By now I have listened through The Three Musketeers (Alexandre Dumas).

Recycling can be fun :)

Is this the future way of knitting? By reusing plastic bags?

Well, I decided to try it. I'm not sure if I like the result. However knitting with plastic was quite fun. Basically I cut out 1 cm wide pieces from plastic bags. The length of the pieces varied. The length is unimportant since it's easy to knot the different pieces of plastic together (place the knots on the reverse side).

It would be cool to knit a durable bag out of plastic bags, with a lot of different colours. For now I have knitted a simple little bracelet.

Edit. I have continued with some plarn knitting. I haven't knitted a bag, but a hairband. In this particular hairband you can find plastic from cookie packets, tissue packets, cotton balls bags and plastic bags.

                                                    

Back Down Memory Lane

Yesterday I found these little animal-bags in my wardrobe.  When I was younger I liked to knit.


To the left is a bear-bag and to the right is a rabbit-bag. I still like childish things, even though I'm 22. I don't see any reason to be all boring and grown-up since that is what I'm supposed to be anyway, from now on, forever on.
