The power of love (and cupcakes)

It's time for a new challenge at
{PIN}spirational Challenges

This week's pic looks delicious!

 The sponsors this week are:
Prize-4 digis
Prize-3 digis
Prize-2 sheets of digis
This is my card for the challenge. I have used a digital stamp by Stitchy Bear. I've coloured the stamp with acrylic paint and Stickles.

The sentiment "Fight for equality" was created with the font Variety. I used the Gigi font to type "and have some cupcakes".

The cupcakes were cut out from the paper sheet Bob appetit/Ta en kaka till by Landstoken AB. I then coloured the cupcakes with some acrylic paint in different colours.

I created some elements for this card, like the hearts. (They are freebies if anyone would want them.)

Swept up in Love

Card for my grandma on her day (21:st January).
Let the old people's home see some colour - yeah. And glitter too.

I painted with acrylic paint, glitter glaze and stickles. Therefore it's a bit messy maybe, as I didn't always manage to follow the lines with that kind of medium. (Still I love painting with acrylic paint.)

The gorgeous image Funky Hipster Vintage Girl with Tutu in Love
comes from Unky at the East Wind - here. I have used a template by Digi Darla - Digi Darla's Die Cut Flower Shapes 2.

Ps. I have submitted this card to the following challenges:
Aud Sentiment: Any Sentiment
Cute Card Thursday: Warm it up ( warm colours)
Die-cut Divas: Make it glitter
Paula Holifield Crafts: Celebrate
Seize the Birthday: Coloring

The plague that is killing our youth

Here's a card that I've made to show my support for the It Gets Better project - a project which works to prevent suicide among LGBTQ-youths. Their mission is to communicate to LGBTQ-kids that it gets better.

The child with a mirror comes from A Day for Daisies. I have coloured her with Promarkers and Stickles.

For the card base I've recycled/upcycled an old post-card.

The text that I've chosen for this card comes from the song I was Married by Tegan & Sara:
I look into the mirror
for evil that just does not exist
I don't see what they see
(tell them that, tell them that)

When I got censored (3 times) in the crafting world last year for creating a LGBTQ-friendly card, I learned that there are grown-ups who think that bullying is their God-given right. Those people claim that their beliefs give them the right to bully or discriminate a vulnerable group of people. As far as I'm concerned, NO ONE on this planet has that right.

I have submitted this project to:
A day for daisies: Add yellow (I made the first background out of mostly yellow and green dots)
Aud Sentiments: Sentiment as the focus
Blog Quick Quotes: Bright and Shiny New Year
Creative Fingers: Anything goes
Delightful Challenges: Patterned paper
Fairytale challenge: Recycling
My Heart Pieces: Anything goes
Polkadoodles and Studio 12: Anything goes/girly
Stamping with the Dragon: Anything goes

Melanesian blonde

Hello there! I hope you have had a lovely Winter so far.
Here's a card of mine featuring a digital image by Unky. You can find this lovely Funky Hipster Vintage Girl with feather hat - here.

I've dyed the girl's hair with yellow and golden crayons and Promarker Buttercup. For her skin I've used Promarker Sandstone and purple red crayon for the cheeks. I have coloured the different details with crayons and nail-polish.

I've painted the background with Promarker Mint Green. The second background comes from my stash of hand-marbled paper. The last background comes from a decorative paper sheet by Tiger.

The wooden frame, which I have painted with green and yellow acrylic paint, was found in a crafts store at ulica Abrahama in Gdynia (Poland).
