You are what you love

Look at my new black skirt! :) It has two pockets and heart buttons. It's made out of second hand-material.

For now I have left my sewing machine in my family home, so I can focus on my social work thesis for the rest of the semester. This means I won't be posting for a while.

Just my cup of... coffee

I think we all have some old jeans lying in the back of our wardrobe somewhere. At least I did, before I decided to remake two pair of old jeans of mine. This is part one of two in my remaking jeans-theme.

Out of a pair of black jeans I made a pair of shorts (a classic I know!). Below you can see photos of my recycled four-pocket black denim shorts.

I'm very fond of bows, as you might understand by now. That's not the whole story behind the lace bows though. Several years ago I saw a young woman in a pair of shorts with bows on the back pockets. So this is basically an idea I've stolen (guilty, guilty). I'm happy with the result. :)

Now it's study time! Coffee, coffee, coffee.

Just a little bit blue

Welcome to my sewing blog!
So, I start this blog with some photos of my most recent sewing project.
I decided to remake this blue vintage dress.

I turned the half-strange dress into something new: a blouse with a peter pan collar and with a little bow of course. I matched it with a black pencil skirt. I think I like it. :)
