Earth Day is there to remind us what planet we are living on

This is the card I made. I have used images from both sponsors.

I used one of these on my Star Wars Card: Star Wars Snowflakes.
For the sentiment I was looking for the perfect Star Wars font
and I think I ended up with Jedi Outline (but I'm not sure cause I can't remember...). For the background I used some marbled paper and for the snowflake I used paper which I had soap bubble printed (golden acrylic paint on black paper). Here's an awesome tutorial.

Do re mi fox

Today I'm a guest designer at Tammy's Scrapin Corner. Sponsors are Meljen's designs and Bugaboo. I have used Sweet Little Foxy by Meljen's designs on my card. 

The silver border was painted with nail polish.The sky and greenery scene was found in a travel brochure. The glitter grass was cut out from a glitter rubber sheet purchased at Panduro - here. The tiny flowers come from Panduro as well.

Friends of the forest

Lately I have been in the spirit of finding new, interesting digis. I have loved my findings so far and this one is no exception. I came across Heart Pieces, and thought to myself: "How cool with Indian digis! I could make a card for my penpal from India (who is now living in Australia studying for her master)." Needless to say,  I ended up with a fairy instead of one of the Indian digis. But look at this digi. It's one of the most adorable digis I have seen so far. Or it's actually two in one: two fairies. It really can't get better now, can it?

Sunrise over the sea

I'm in love with Hannah Lynn's art. I just recently discovered her digital images, and I'm awe-struck. This is Atlantis Mermaid. I have painted her with Stickles and acrylic paint (golden and red for the hair, golden and green for her clothing). The frame was painted with a mix of Stickles and nail polish. If you take a closer look at the left lower corner, you can see some water (in a yellow tone). It was part of a photo of a sea during sunrise. The sky is another part of that photo which I cut into pieces to fit my card.

TIP:
Look in travel brochures and magazines for pictures of nature.
It could be a sky with interesting looking clouds, or a strange-looking bush.
What you are going to do with your findings is this: use it for cardmaking.
Yes! Cut out that fascinating sky or the white fluffy clouds.

For this card I used some hand marbled paper, and some scraps that I had left in my stash. The paper buttons come from Paper Craft Inspirations. The flower (painted with nail polish lol) comes from the local craft store Pysselmakaren.The little sheep was found here.

The day flew by

I think this is my favourite card so far. See what you can do during instead of thesis writing! The darling girl, named Poinsetta, comes from Sweet Pea Stamps. I just recently discovered Sweet Pea Stamps, and I simply adore Ching Chou Kuik's digital images.The circle with flowers, the floral paper (pink, white and light blue) and the sentiment came with issue 57 of Let's make Cards. The roses and other papers (the abstract floral paper and the red floral paper) were purchased at Panduro. The white lace ribbon was found at the bookstore Empik.

Bownita Bonita

Here's another bow crazy card. I found the digi girl here and the butterfly in a magazine. I painted the girl's skin with Promarker - Almond. I used Copics E35 for the eyes. Then I coloured the hair with coffee. The bows were painted with coffee, red crayon and a touch of glitter (stickles: cinnamon).  

The backgrounds were painted with coffee and rooiboos tea. 
Finally I used my fun border paper punch - ribbon to create a bow border.

The girl with sheep comes from Zambooki. The carrot was cut out from a magazine, and so was the owl. The sentiment Alles Liebe comes from a tea box. The pepper, acorn and leaves were found in an old children's lexicon.
