Here's another card with a lovely Sweet Pea Stamps image. (I think they are my absolute favorite stamps out there.) I have used an image by Elaine Cox named Christmas Bird.
I thought this digital image would be perfect for a snow globe, so I created one using this program. I put some Stickles: Diamond around the snow globe.
For the fairy's hair I used Promarker: Pumpkin and Burnt Orange.
I colored the eyes with Metallic Pens by Papermania. For the cheek and lips, I used nail polish (Isadora). I used Stickles: Fruit Punch, Waterfall & Green for the fairy's wings, clothing and hair decorations.
I used Traditional Craft Paint Sun Gold mixed with white acrylic paint for the fairy's skin. I mixed Traditional Craft Paint Mercury Grey with white acrylic paint for the snowflakes.
The black/grey background with white streaks is what I call accidental creating. I painted a completely different image with white and grey acrylic paints and used an ad magazine (Åhlens) as an underlay (to protect the table from paint splashes). When I meant to throw the magazine away, I thought "hey, this surface looks quite interesting now". So I ripped off the paint stained page and figured it would be great as a background for this card. I actually thought it was pretty cool.
Finally I glued my card base on a page from the magazine Julefrid (2013 s. 93). The page was originally a photo of a snowy landscape painting.
I have submitted this card to the following challenges:
