These mermaids can be found here. I painted them with acrylic paint and nail polish. |
The stitched border is made on my sewing machine. The cord is made with stickles - cinnamon. I found the template for the cord here at PaperCraft Inspirations. The fish template can be found here. The little frog on a stone comes from a flower basket I once had.
The shells were found at the beach in southern Sweden (almost Denmark lol). I lived down there when I studied at the social work school. I used to say I lived in Denmark, cause well... southern Sweden used to be Danish hehe. I lived so down south that I sometimes went through Denmark when I wanted to get from one southern Swedish city to another (oh well that was when I missed the last night train in Sweden... so I had to go through Denmark to get back home in time hehe. Call it bad planning).
The waves were found in a Polish storybook from 1986 (Pan Maluskiewicz i wieloryb). I used the same waves here. I find the illustrations in older Polish storybooks to be very artistic (just look here for other examples and maybe you'll understand why I think so). I painted the sky background. The moon with the cloud comes from Pan Maluskiewicz i wieloryb as well.
The text "Just swimming by to say hi" was created with the JLR Waves font.
